In small groups of up to 8 participants, our guided moose safaris take you through the stunning terrains of Vesterålen, offering a unique experience across the seasons.

In autumn, the landscape is painted with vibrant colors, and it is the rutting season when bull moose proudly display their massive antlers. This season might even offer the rare spectacle of bulls fighting or chasing cows, adding a thrill to your tour. Come winter, the scenery transforms into a snowy wonderland. This is the perfect time to combine moose spotting with a Northern Lights chase. Your guide will expertly film these magical moments under the aurora, ensuring you have memories to cherish. The crisp winter days provide the best conditions for observing moose against the Arctic backdrop, making it a truly enchanting experience.

As spring arrives, witness the moose migration as they move from winter grounds to summer pastures. The region awakens with returning birdlife, and you may catch sight of moose swimming or wandering through unique areas. The Midnight Sun in summer offers a continuous glow, allowing tours to run around the clock. This is the season to spot young calves and observe bulls regrowing their antlers, presenting a magnificent sight. How to Get There

We meet at the Scandic Sortland hotel or a gas station nearby, 5 minutes before departure. If you come by car, you will find free parking nearby.

Pick Up

Trips normally start in Sortland, at a hotel, AirBnB, or another agreed meeting point. We can also arrange pick-ups from other locations in Vesterålen, including Bø, Andenes, Myre in Øksnes, and Stokmarknes / Melbu in Hadsel. Please note that prices may vary depending on the number of participants, duration, and pick-up location. We will provide all pricing details when you contact us.

• These tours are by car and we will only be walking in some cases if you want to. No hiking needed
