What to Expect

Ideal for adults and teens from 13 years old, these private snowboarding lessons in Gerlos offer individual coaching, regardless of your level. As you embark on your snowboarding adventure, you will be greeted by our professional snowboard instructors who will tailor the session according to your individual goals and skill level.

Beginners will start with fundamental skills such as learning to balance, control speed, and make their first turns, which are essential for building confidence on the slopes. As the lesson progresses, you will explore different slopes of varying difficulty, allowing you to practice new techniques. For intermediate and advanced snowboarders, the instructors will focus on refining your carving skills, enhancing your ability to navigate steeper slopes, and mastering more challenging terrain. This part of the lesson is crucial as it helps to improve agility and control, enabling snowboarders to tackle any slope with assurance.

Lessons are conducted in one-on-one sessions or in small private groups of up to 4 people with a similar level, providing a perfect opportunity to share the experience with family or friends. The intimate setting ensures that each participant receives personalised attention and feedback, helping them to progress at their own pace. The convenience of Gerlos's facilities, including nearby rental shops and cosy lodges, enhances the overall experience. Whether you are just starting out or looking to boost your skills, these lessons in Gerlos offer a comprehensive and enjoyable snowboarding experience.

Meeting Time

We meet at our meeting point at the practice area close to the Arena Center at the mountain station of Isskogelbahn, 10 minutes before the start of the lesson. Please note that going up to the mountain station from the valley can take up to 15 minutes, or even longer during high-season.

Important! If you are a beginner or do not have much experience (only indoor experience), we ask you NOT to take the Dorfbahn because there is no practice area there. In this case, please take the ISSKOGELBAHN. You will get off the gondola and find yourself directly in the beginner area.

Ski Pass

First-timers do not need a ski pass for the first day of the lessons. The instructor will advise you when to buy the ski pass.

Advanced snowboarders need a ski pass for the lessons. You can buy your ski pass at the lift station before the first lesson.

Good to Know

• For the Christmas holidays & school holidays in February, we recommend you book early in advance due to high demand

• Please make sure you have a snowboard, snowboard boots, helmet, gloves & sunglasses or goggles at the start of the lesson

• The whole family can join the private lessons together, as long as everyone has a similar skill level

• The maximum group size is 4 participants per group
