What to Expect

These private ski lessons in Gerlos are ideal for adults and teens from 13 years old of all levels. Nestled in the Zillertal Arena, Gerlos offers a picturesque setting with its snowy peaks and well-groomed pistes. Whether you are a beginner eager to learn the basics or an advanced skier aiming to refine your technique, you can progress at your own pace.

For beginners, the focus is on mastering the basics, such as how to stand, stop, and make your first turns. These foundational skills are crucial as they lay the groundwork for more advanced techniques. Meanwhile, advanced skiers will delve into parallel skiing, tackling steeper slopes, and fine-tuning their posture and control. These skills are essential for improving speed and efficiency on the slopes.

Throughout your lesson, you will explore specific areas of the Gerlos resort, selected based on your skill level. One-on-one sessions or small private groups of up to four people ensure personalized attention, whether you are with family or friends. The instructor will guide you through various terrains, offering tips and feedback to enhance your skiing experience. By the end of the lesson, you will have gained new skills and confidence, ready to enjoy the stunning alpine landscape that Gerlos has to offer.

Meeting Time

We meet at our meeting point at the practice area close to the Arena Center at the mountain station of Isskogelbahn, 10 minutes before the start of the lesson. Please note that going up to the mountain station from the valley can take up to 15 minutes, or even longer during high-season.

Important! If you are a beginner or do not have much experience (only indoor experience), we ask you NOT to take the Dorfbahn because there is no practice area there. In this case, please take the ISSKOGELBAHN. You will get off the gondola and find yourself directly in the beginner area.

Ski Pass

First-timers do not need a ski pass for the first day of the lessons. The instructor will advise you when to buy the ski pass.

Advanced skiers need a ski pass for the lessons. You can buy your ski pass at the lift station before the first lesson.

Requirements

• Minimum age: 13 years

• Experience is not required

• Warm outdoor clothing; layers are recommended

• Goggles

• Ski equipment and helmet

Good to Know

• For the Christmas holidays & school holidays in February, we recommend you book early in advance due to high demand

• Please make sure you have skis, ski boots, helmet, gloves & sunglasses or goggles at the start of the lesson

• The whole family can join the private lessons together, as long as everyone has a similar skill level

• The maximum group size is 4 participants per group
