What to Expect

Improve your technique or learn snowboarding from scratch in our adult group snowboard courses for those aged 17 and up in Alpendorf. At the Ski School in Alpendorf – St. Johann im Pongau, lessons are conducted by certified instructors who focus on safety, technique, and self-confidence in a multilingual setting. The intimate group size of up to six people ensures individual attention, allowing you to progress at your own pace. Beginners will be introduced to the fundamentals of snowboarding, including equipment familiarization, balance control, and basic turns, all of which are essential for building a strong foundation.

The lessons unfold on the picturesque slopes of St. Johann-Alpendorf, known for its perfect location and family atmosphere. Intermediate riders will have the opportunity to refine their skills by exploring more challenging terrain, focusing on parallel turns and technique refinement. The resort's varied terrain offers an ideal environment for practising these skills, ensuring a balanced mix of fun and learning success. Our instructors provide constant support, adapting their teaching methods to each participant's needs.

For advanced snowboarders, the course offers a chance to master steeper slopes and enhance speed control. Our instructors will focus on advanced techniques, including carving and off-piste navigation, tailored to ensure that even seasoned snowboarders leave with new skills and increased confidence. Each session concludes with a personalised review to highlight progress and set goals for future improvement, ensuring you leave with unforgettable memories and a sense of achievement.

Meeting Time

We meet at the top station of the Gernkogelbahn – 6-seater chairlift to Kreistenalm, 15 minutes before the start of the lesson.

Please do not take the gondola; use the 6-seater chairlift instead

Ski Pass

All participants need a ski pass from the first day of the lessons. You can buy your ski pass at the ski lift ticket office or online before the first lesson.

In order to not lose time at the beginning of your lesson, please buy your ski pass in advance.

• Snowboard equipment and helmet

Good to Know

• For the Christmas holidays & school holidays in February, we recommend you book early in advance due to high demand

• Snowboard equipment not included in the lessons

• Please make sure you have a snowboard, snowboard boots, helmet, gloves & sunglasses or goggles at the start of the lesson

• During our courses we are always wearing a helmet

• It is possible to switch between different skill levels during the course if a participant's abilities improve quickly

• The maximum group size is 6 participants per group
