What to Expect

With our off-piste skiing lessons, you will discover the beauty of Val Thorens, away from crowded pistes, and find the best powder snow runs in the area.

In a group of like-minded skiers and snowboarders, you will spend your mornings together and dedicate yourself to off-piste skiing sessions and theoretical knowledge sharing with your guide. As such, you will not only enjoy the best freeride spots in our region but also get to know how to interpret snow conditions, use safety equipment, and search for avalanche victims.

The required safety equipment for these off-piste skiing lessons (a backpack with a rescue beacon, shovel, and avalanche probe) will be provided from our side. As part of our 5-morning lessons, we will also spend 1 day touring with seal skins on skis and split boards. The needed touring equipment is not included in the course price.

Please note that for participation, it is required that you feel comfortable skiing down black slopes.

Ski Pass

All skiers need a ski pass from the first day of the lessons. You can buy your ski pass at the ski lift ticket office or online before the first lesson.
