Meeting Time
On the first day of the lessons, we meet 30 minutes before the lesson starts at the ski school at the valley station of the Zwieselalm gondola lift in Gosau Hintertal.
Ski pass
Kids from 7 years old need a ski pass for the lessons. You can buy the ski pass at the ski lift ticket office before the first lesson.
Booking online is highly recommended, especially during the holiday season. Sometimes there are Dutch ski instructors. The owner of the ski school is Dutch, and his son also speaks Dutch. The ski school is located next to the PanoramaJet lift. For beginners, there is a really small children's area; for slightly more advanced skiers, there are blue slopes, but they are quite steep.
Arrive very early on the first day; the ski school uses slips that must be filled out manually for every child on the first day, which creates long queues.
On Thursday, there is a ski tournament, which is great fun. Medals and certificates for the winners. Very friendly people. Relaxed atmosphere. During heavy snow showers, children went up with a young instructor; due to poor visibility, he shouldn't have done this. They had to go down the black slope to get to the bottom as quickly as possible, resulting in falls and injuries.
