Our instructor, Ricardo, from Toni Gruber in Alpendorf im Pongau, was the perfect instructor for us. We booked a two private, half day, sessions for our family of four, two adults, (moderately competent skiers) and two children aged 10 and 8, (one slightly over confident and one slightly timid), to get us back up and running after not skiing since last year's holiday. It is also our first time in this resort so we wanted someone help us get to know the ski area. Ricardo helped us overcome our nervousness quickly, got us all skiing safely and gave each of us individually, the attention we needed to overcome any fears and bad habits. He got us all skiing to a standard which gave us the courage to become more adventurous and soon had us skiing safely down short red runs together which meant that we could do so much more as a family this holiday than in previous years. He was particularly brilliant with our two daughters and was great company on our two half days with him. His style was more encouraging than challenging, which was exactly what we needed.
