What should I wear for my lessons?
You should wear warm clothing suitable for winter sports. Other accessories such as gloves, a ski mask and sunglasses are strongly recommended.
When should I collect my equipment?
You must arrive at the first lesson with your equipment (skis and poles or snowboard, and boots). If you do not have your own equipment, make sure to allow enough time to collect it from the rental shop so as not to delay the start of the lesson. Some shops even offer the option of collecting equipment the day before your first day of hire.
Do I need to wear a helmet?
Wearing a helmet is compulsory for children in some countries, but it is strongly recommended for everyone, regardless of age.
Where can I buy a ski pass?
Unless otherwise stated, you must have your ski pass with you for the first lesson. You can usually buy one at the ski lift office or online. Discounted rates may be available for children or beginners, so check with your ski school to find out which pass is most suitable.
Do I need to book my lessons in advance?
Generally, it is advisable to book lessons as early as possible. This is especially important during school holidays, such as Christmas and February, when lessons can fill up quickly.
Are the lessons suitable for beginners?
Yes, the lessons are suitable for all levels, from beginners to advanced snowboarders. The instructors in the mini-groups cater to individual needs.
Where do we meet for the lessons?
The meeting time is 9:45 am at the top station of the Alpendorf gondola lift. The rendezvous point is on the left at the ski kindergarten.
Where can I pick up the rental equipment?
The equipment can be picked up at the Toni Gruber - Rental shop, which is located in the valley station of the Alpendorf gondola lift (Alpendorf 2, 5600 St. Johann).
How big are the groups?
The lessons take place in mini-groups. This allows the instructors to respond to individual needs and provide valuable tips for quick improvement.
