Come and discover this trendy white water sport: canoraft on the Ubaye River! Equipped with a double paddle, you will navigate alone on your boat or in pairs in the middle of the peaks of the Southern Alps on the Ubaye, the river chosen to host the French Canoe Kayak Championships in 2016. The class III/IV rapids will be highlighted by the majestic landscapes of the Ubaye valley. A certified guide will join the small group on their own boat and choose the tour according to your desires and motivation! Whether you are on a two-seater (canoe-raft) or one-seater (kayak-raft) boat, come and discover the thrills of white water navigation and enjoy a magnificent environment for 2.5 hours!
Tour programme- Preparation:We will meet you
at our base in Méloans-Revel (free car park) 10 minutes before the tour starts. We will provide you with
recent professional equipment with a full wetsuit, neoprene socks, helmet and life jacket. Afterwards, the small group will take the shuttle bus for about 10 minutes to get to the starting point of the activity. Your tour can then begin as soon as your water safety training is completed. Normally, 6 boats will be available.
- Tour:You have the choice between the
discovery tour, a circuit with gentler descents, or the more
advanced tour, going into the rapids. For the same course, canoraft is a little more difficult than kayaking because of the proximity of the water and the eddies. You will be
alone or in pairs on your boat and the state-certified guide will follow you throughout the activity on another boat. Take on the
waves for 1.5 hours on the Ubaye river!
- Return:Once the course is over, the shuttle will take you back to the base where you will find
changing rooms, hot showers, a sauna and
free activities (bowling, Mölkky, slacklines) if you wish to continue this incredible day! You will also be able to admire the green nature that surrounds you to have a picnic in the wooded park or take advantage of the snack bar and the open refreshment bar.
