RIB Boat Trip in the Gulf of Orosei from Cala Gonone"The boat tour we had been looking forward to so much started as a nightmare. At the starting point, we were told there was no room for us, despite our reservation made a week in advance. A refund was also not possible. After lengthy discussions, we were promised that we would be transported to Cala Luna in a small boat and could continue our tour there, albeit with a 2 hour and 10 minute delay. In the end, we had to wait for more than 3 hours in the sun in Cala Luna with our 11-year-old child before anyone came to pick us up. A day that began with many arguments and disappointments was completely turned around by the boat captain, Mr. Valter. What a sweet, thoughtful, and friendly person. All credit to @Valter. We still had a very, very nice day in the end. Thanks again, Valter. We also stopped at 2 pools for about 20-minute swims. We enjoyed a very generous aperitif with cheese, pinsa, sausage, and salmon toast accompanied by white wine and fruit a little later. The crew took great care of the passengers. There were only a small number of us on the boat, about 20 people. We had a great day! We were greeted with small pastries and watermelon every now and then. Drinks, coffee, and even something to eat were available on the boat. The three beaches we visited were beautiful. Light sand, crystal-clear water, and you could spot many fish while snorkeling. The stay was usually an hour, which was plenty. We then visited the "Grotta del Finco." It was quite nice, but not a must. You can also stay on the boat during this time and swim in the sea from there. Even the little excursions into the cave or the small coves behind the rocks were worthwhile and impressive. A wonderful experience that we highly recommend.
