Firstly, he caught me not clipping carabineers properly .. once was enough to take clipping seriously but he was able to catch me on other times when the lock didnt fully clip. As a beginner, this route was quite challenging for me but Wolgang made it somewhat easy. When i am stumped on which way to go, he guided the way. He gave me water tooo.. hahaha... he was my father, my mother, my ancestor. ..all jokes aside the klettersteig should be taken seriously. That being said. I had alot of fun. He is very light hearted and easy to smile but quick to correct you for your safety. I plan on becoming more fit so i can have more energy to do more klettersteig. "What a great experience this was. I try to pack our holidays with as many activities as possible and this was the best of the bunch. I took my two children (15 & 10) and they both loved it, just the right amount of challenge whilst allowing us to see some beautiful nature close up.
Special mention to our guide Marco whose knowledge of the local environment and geology just added to the adventure. He is very passionate about the outdoors and his stunning part of the world. We learnt a lot from him whilst also enjoying the challenge of navigating the gorge.
As long as you have a reasonable level of fitness and agility I cannot recommend this enough. Next time we are in Austria we will definitely be booking again for one of the more extreme experiences. "
