About Gecko Surf School Costa da Caparica
Welcome to Gecko Surf School on the Praia do Norte located on the beautiful Costa da Caparica. Our surf school was founded in 2016 and since then our experienced instructors want to share the passion of surfing with you and pass on our know-how. Caparica is the perfect place, because the 26 kilometre long coastline offers countless surf spots for every level. We offer surf lessons for groups as well as private lessons. So everyone has the chance to catch as many waves as possible and enjoy the feeling of freedom while surfing. For us, it is important that everyone feels safe in the water and can develop their skills. Our surf instructors are certified by the Portuguese Surfing Federation, have extensive experience and will support you the whole time. So come and visit us at the Gecko Surf School! We are looking forward to catching the next waves with you.

Germany · July 2025I can 100% recommend the course. Unfortunately, my brother injured himself while surfing. The surf instructors were very helpful and, when the emergency services couldn't send an ambulance due to capacity constraints, they drove him to the nearest hospital themselves and accompanied him all the way to the admission and beyond. Since my brother, of course, couldn't continue, we even got a refund for the course without any problems.

In a small group of four beginners, we were wonderfully supported and made incredible progress in one lesson. It's a great spot for beginners; the waves are the perfect size, and you can walk everywhere.
