Good explanation. You ski for a bit and then you are assigned to groups. But during the day, or if you have multiple days, you can always switch groups or levels. The ski school is located right by the lift exit, and there is a shop where you can exchange boots or skis (if you rented from them) or if something needs repairing. Many instructors are available, and the adult groups are certainly not too large. We had a German instructor, but he spoke good English. We went down various slopes during the day, and he made sure everyone could keep up and stopped regularly to provide explanations.
