Learn to ski in Tegernsee

\r\nThe ski resort Spitzingsee-Tegernsee is a very popular Bavarian winter sports area. Spitzingsee is a delightful district of Schliersee counting 200 inhabitants. It's surrounded by wild nature and is located at the shores of the mountain lake with the same name. The area is located in the South of Bavaria, in the immediate vicinity of the Austrian border and in the middle of the beautiful Mangfall Mountains. In addition, you are just a jump away from Lake Tegernsee.

\r\nDirectly on the shore of the Spitzingsee, the two central mountains of the ski area rise up. On the hillside of the Stümpfling (1506m) and the Roßkopf (1580m), there are slopes of all difficulty levels. Thanks to many blue slopes and 2 Kinderlands, which are surrounded by easy and wide slopes, beginners and families with children feel particularly welcome here.

\r\nThe ski schools in Tegernsee can be reached in just 1h from Munich and 2h from Regensburg. Rosenheim and Bad Tölz are nearby and only a few minutes drive away from the ski resort. Accordingly, the Spitzingsee-Tegernsee is also an extremely popular destination for a day or a weekend trip.

\r\nAt the valley station of the Stümpflingbahn, there is a large parking lot. If you do not want to travel all the way by car or if you are staying close to Lake Tegernsee, there is a shuttle bus that will take you from Rottach-Egern directly to the slopes.

\r\nBeginners are very welcome in the ski schools in Tegernsee! Usually, the meeting point for the beginner lessons is at the respective ski school office close to the valley station of the Stümpflingbahn. Almost half of the slopes are marked as easy pistes and therefore, offer almost limitless fun on the slopes for slightly advanced skiers.

\r\nChildren aged 3+ can take part in the ski lessons for kids offered by the ski schools in Tegernsee. The instructors divide the kids into small groups and make sure that the participants in each group belong to a similar age group and have a comparable level of experience. Even off the slopes, the kids can have fun, because right next to the Stümpflingbahn a lovingly designed Kinderland is waiting to be conquered. There you’ll find a magic carpet, a drag lift, a ski carousel and colourful figures who will guarantee your kids an unforgettable experience.

\r\nSnowcamp Martina Loch: Since its opening in 1986, this ski school has been very popular among skiers of all ages and levels of experience. A team of up to 80 experienced ski instructors takes care of the well-being of their guests.

\r\nSki lessons start every day and the ski schools in Tegernsee also offer snowboard lessons and cross country skiing. Every Thursday and Friday night, you can also do night skiing - even floodlit ski lessons are offered during these evenings.

\r\nThere is also a beautifully groomed snowpark with different boxes, kickers, rails and jib-tons. Last but not least, there are numerous slopes on the opposite side of the lake that are perfect for ski tours. Group lessons, which are offered for different levels of experience, are worth considering, especially when fresh snow has fallen.
