Nice trip from the harbour of Alghero to Neptune's Cave. Saves you the considerable challenge of climbing down the 655 steps of the narrow staircase carved into the rock face and then climbing back up again. No more lining up at the cave's entrance to pay cash for a ticket: there is now a ticket booth near the boat departure point where you can purchase your ticket in advance with cash or card.

We arrived from Barcelona to visit Sardinia for a week. We created an itinerary for each day. On the day we visited Alghero, we opted for a 4-hour boat rental without a license. It was a very good alternative to visiting Neptune's Grotto. Visiting the grotto on foot cost €56 for a family of four, but there was the inconvenience of taking 40 minutes to go down and 60 minutes to go back up, and all that in the heat. Booking a tour to access the grotto by boat costs about €20 per person + €14 for admission = €34 x 4 = €136 to visit a cave for 20 minutes. For the same price, you can rent the boat without a license for 4 hours and enjoy a different experience that the family will really enjoy. You can enjoy everything from driving to swimming on the open sea, visiting hidden coves and beaches that you can only reach from the boat, and, although it's not the same, you can also see Neptune's Grotto from the outside. Admiring the beautiful landscapes and cliffs seen from the sea, which you will have previously passed on the boat, is a unique experience. ARES, the rental company, is highly recommended. Good value for money, but above all, a reliable company. They are there for whatever you need, and you can trust them. The staff is very kind, friendly, and attentive. In this review, I explain what happened to me and why you should choose ARES over another company for this activity: Two hours or 2 hours and 30 minutes after leaving the port, the boat broke down. I contacted them, and quickly (10 to 15 minutes) they arrived with another boat to try to solve the problem. Once resolved, they offered us three alternatives for the lost time and inconvenience: a full refund, an even better boat, and we could enjoy the rest of the day (8 hours) for the same price, or come back another day. We opted for a refund since we didn't have food, and as I said at the beginning, we had the rest of the day planned with a meal at a restaurant and a visit to the town of Alghero. Otherwise, I would have chosen to spend the rest of the day on the boat, as it's a very fun and beautiful experience. In short, ARES is a reputable company that offers safety and friendly service to its clients. What could have been a disaster and ruined a day of our vacation ended up being a very good experience. I didn't get to enjoy all the contracted hours, but I enjoyed a little more than half of them for free thanks to the honesty of ARES. I will definitely return to Sardinia next year to visit another area, and I will return to Alghero and book the unlicensed boat with ARES again. Thank you very much for everything! I hope this review is useful to other travelers and they decide to hire you. Honesty, closeness, security, and trust are things that money can't buy.

A perfect day with a perfect host. Our family of 5 had more than enough room on Andrea’s wonderful boat. Andrea was amazing and a fantastic cook on top of everything else. I highly recommend this activity with Andrea.

It's beautiful!!!!

The hosts were very friendly and the snacks and the drinks were also delicious. Not to talk about the sunset itself.

Absolutely fantastic day!! Sensationally friendly skipper (A.) – an unforgettable experience and worth every penny! We'll book at least one more day again. It's great that someone cares so much about ensuring that you, as a customer, have such an experience. The food on board was excellent! Everything was professional and highly recommended! THANK YOU

The captain is very nice! Swimming in the middle of the sea at sunset is just incredible!

Fredericko was such a great captain. I honestly never leave reviews, however I do need to make an exception here. We had troubles locating the meeting point in the port and Fredericko navigated us and had the crew waiting for us so we would not miss the trip. We met some great people onboard and the atmosphere was so lovely and personal. The stops were great, the scenery jist impressive, SUP and snorkeling available. The lunch was so great, we got to talk over everything local on the table – from wine, cheese to tomatoes from a small farm. The best trip I paid for while travelling and there have been many. So refreshing to see the person in charge actually enjoing the trip with the guests. ❤️
