"Rocco was our skipper and in that he grew up in Santa Maria Leuca fishing with his dad, he has an intimate knowledge of the place and connection to the sea. As it turns out we were here in the off season in May and so instead of the usual ,20 or so cave boats we were one of three. Also as it turned out we were the only couple and so just Us ,Rocco, his first mate Stevio and an Italian model who was aboard for a website photo shoot. We had a special tours inside the caves which is not possible when many swimmers are present and polished off our cruise with a bottle of Ferrari prosecco. Rocco was great on the communication side from our first contact, and super helpful with parking and location details. "

"Rocco, was amazing he was superb at explaining the difference between the Adriatic and Ionian seas. The caves were superb in their beauty and splendor, he explained their meanings and and why they are named ex. "Two black eyes" as well as why fisherman woukd go into certain caves to get out of the blaring sun. My son and I took the 1330 time frame, we were able to film and use videoography to capture the great beauty of Southern Italy, Marina Di Leuca is a great place to photography the buildings and dwellings many seemed uninhabited. I would recommend Rocco's excursion over a larger boat, the larger ones cannot get into the caves, Rocco was very pleasant uses Italian and English and answers questions you have. The cost is very reasonable for the time he takes you out. Bring water, Sunscreen, a head covering and food/snacks as they are not provided.
