The sea around Lagos is the perfect place for your first dive. During this PADI Discover Scuba Diving course, you gain your first experiences with diving equipment before you venture into the ocean. The fantastic underwater world of the Algarve awaits you with a diverse flora and fauna to discover on your first dive. Thanks to our experienced diving instructors, you feel safe and well looked after during the entire experience.
Goal of the course
During this course, you combine your first diving experience in the pool with a dive in the open sea. You will learn the basics of diving and get a feel for the equipment.
Meeting & Preparation
We meet at the diving school on the premises of the Beco Luz Bay Club in Lagos, parking here is free. We can also organise a pick-up service around Lagos, for an extra charge (to be arranged after your booking). At our base, where the pool is located, you get to know your instructor and receive your diving equipment. Changing rooms, showers, and toilets are also available.
Course content
- 1 Practice lesson in the pool
- 1 Open water dive
- 1 Theory lesson

Awesome experience! Our diving instructor gave us a briefing in the pool at 10am so that we could focus exclusively on the dive in the sea. Safety is paramount! Afterwards we warmed up with a coffee. In addition to around 15 octopuses, we saw lots of other fish and sea creatures. The price-performance ratio was great. The activity lasted around 6 hours in total.
It was my first time diving and I can recommend it to everyone! Thank you!

That was the best introduction to Scuba Diving you can think of. All basics thoroughly explained and demonstrated. Practice in the pool to make you comfortable with the gear and then off to the ocean. Elmar and Gerome looked after us so we felt safe at all times. We had a great experience
