Snorkeling offers all nature lovers a unique insight into the underwater world of the Algarve. Accompany your local guides to the most beautiful places for snorkeling around Lagos and Sagres! Rocks covered with anemones, plants and corals together with numerous shoals of fish and other sea dwellers make the experience unforgettable.
Snorkeling area
In the so-called rock Algarve, we have different areas for snorkeling, which we reach from the shore. Depending on the current, visibility and personal conditions, we choose the best spot of the day for you. Thanks to the shallowness of the water, the view of the varied flora and fauna at the Algarvian coast is particularly good. Among our most popular places for snorkeling are the seahorse reef, where many of these little creatures can be found, and the reef Pedra da Gaivota with impressive colourful fan corals.
Programme- Meeting & Preparation:
We meet at the diving school on the premises of the Beco Luz Bay Club in Lagos, parking here is free. We can also organise a pick-up service around Lagos, for an extra charge (to be arranged after your booking). At our base, you get to know your guide and receive your snorkeling equipment. Changing rooms, showers and toilets are also at your disposal there.
- Snorkeling:
As soon as all participants are ready, we set off for the coast with our jeeps. Together with your guide, you discover the fascinating underwater world of the Algarve. The local expert can tell you a lot about the local flora and fauna, but he will also be happy to give you tips on snorkeling techniques.
- Return:
After the adventure, we return to the diving school, where you can end the day relaxing at the pool bar.

Kati is an empathetic snorkeling guide.
We saw more fish and marine life here than during our introductory dive in Crete.
You don't need remote spots; you need someone to show you what's there. We even spotted a large octopus.

Kati from Snorkelling Lagos was an amazing guide. She showed me multiple octopi and taught me how to find them. Our tour was just west of the Fortaleza do Luz, so very convenient if you are staying in Luz.
