Get ready for an unforgettable day of canyoning with the Purcaraccia Canyon. The canyon itself does not present any particular difficulties, but walking in the mountains to get there requires a good physical condition. You will be rewarded with one of the most beautiful canyons in Europe, in the heart of preserved nature. Your certified-instructor will be there to help you enjoy the spectacular scenery of the Aiguilles de Bavella, in complete safety!
Tour programme- Preparation:
We meet at our office in Zonza (if you arrive from northern Corsica we can arrange a meeting directly at the canyon location). There, we will provide you with your equipment before taking the cars again to get to the start of the canyon (it takes about 30min). After an approach walk of about 1h (be warned, the walk takes place in the mountains so it is rather physical), we will reach the beginning of the canyon. One last break for the briefing and let the descent begin!
- Tour:
You will need 4 to 5hrs to master this canyon where the fun will not, fortunately, be forgotten. Expect two large 40 m abseils, one along a waterfall, and a series of slides in turquoise water of great beauty. In the middle of the descent, a picnic break will take place to also enjoy the scenery... and catch your breath!
- Arrival:
A 30-minute walk, still in the mountains and with a significant difference in altitude, is to be expected before reaching your car. You can then resume your holiday with your head full of beautiful memories.

07/18/24 We did this technical canyoning with Corsica madness in Purcaraccia with our two teenagers. It was a superb experience for all of us, we enjoyed doing the slides in the magnificent natural pools of Bavella, surpassed for some of us during the 40 meter abseils, and savored the few jumps in this water clear and fresh, very appreciable after our grueling but achievable ascent. Big UP to Nate for his professionalism, his reassuring, cheerful and fun side, and to Toussaint for our support and the information given in advance, both with a pleasant natural sympathy.
