Continue your scuba diving education and become a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver in St. Julian's! Broaden your Open Water Diver skillset and explore even more secrets of the ocean surrounding the Maltese islands. You'll be astounded at the fascinating spots you'll get to see and will become more and more confident underwater as you dive down deeper than you've done before.
Goal of the course
Upon completion of the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course, you will be qualified to dive down to a maximum depth of 30 metres. Furthermore, you will have developed some additional skills, most notably underwater navigation. What is also great about the course is that beside the two mandatory deep-water and navigation dives, you get to choose which aspect of scuba diving you would like to get to know better. Choose three out of a long list of different adventure dives, which includes digital underwater photography, peak performance buoyancy, wreck diving, and much more...
Meeting & Preparation
If you wish to take part in the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course, you need to hold a PADI Open Water Diver certification (or an equal-level certification from another organisation). You will also need to complete the Advanced Open Water Diver course on the PADI e-Learning platform before you start the practical part of the course with us. Please meet us at the dive centre 30 minutes before your first scheduled dive and bring the confirmation slip, so we can see that you know your theory. You will receive all the access details from us beforehand. As is common practice with the PADI courses, we would also ask you to fill out the medical statement attached to the booking confirmation and hand it in to us. If you require any transportation service from your hotel or accommodation, we can organise for you to be picked up. Once you're checked in, we'll hand you your equipment and you can get started with your first lesson.
