Accompanied by our local dive guides you will dive into the deep blue Mediterranean Sea and discover the fascinating reefs, wrecks, rocks and caves from a new perspective. Dive Area
The Maltese islands are a true paradise for divers. At 55 different dive sites, you will find a fascinating underwater world with diverse marine fauna and flora. These include mystical underwater caves like the Santa Maria Caves near Comino, historic wrecks like the Imperial Eagle and colourful reefs like the Qawra Reef. Depending on weather conditions and diving experience we choose the perfect place for your dive. Our small groups are divided according to experience and ability so that each individual diver gets exactly what they want.
Programme- Meeting & Preparation:
We either meet directly at our base at the Gillieru Harbour Hotel or pick you up from your accommodation (in St. Paul's Bay area only) and take you to the dive centre. Here you will meet your guides and receive the equipment you have booked. As soon as the group is ready, we make our way to the dive site of the day.
- Diving:
On board our Luzzu, a traditional Maltese fishing boat, or with one of our buses we reach the most beautiful spots around Malta, Comino and Gozo. After a briefing of the local guide, you will dive in small groups and discover the treasures hidden under the sea surface. After the first dive, we take a surface break which is spent on land. You are welcome to eat and drink during this time to prepare for the second dive of the day.
- Return:
After the trip, we return to our base, where you are welcome to end the day with a cup of coffee or a cool beer. If you have been picked up from the hotel, we will, of course, take you back.

*Please book the start day for your first dive. The additional dives can be arranged individually with your dive centre after completed booking or can simply be done on the following days.
The diving tutor my 16 year old daughter had, was fantastic! My daughter tells she was a bit annoyed with him as he wouldn't let her drift away from him at all, but as a parent, it feels a lot more safe to me! He took her to the max permissible depth of 18m for under 18's, and also did the favour of recording some good dive videos on my go pro, special thanks to him for that. Overall all the staff was very welcoming kind, and good to talk to. Very good experience, definitely recommended.

Had a great time. I messed up the booking initially and they sorted it all out for me and got me a great diving session suited for my and my mate. The instructors English was perfect, his instructions were very clear and he was very patient. The dive itself was really good, the reefs are quite amazing to see.

What marine life might I see on this activity?

What are the requirements to participate?
To join this activity, you need to be at least 12 years old, be in good physical health, and have an Open Water Diver certificate.
Is diving equipment included in the price?
The price includes a scuba tank (200 Bar) and weights. All other necessary diving gear, such as a wetsuit, mask, fins, and regulator, can be booked as an optional extra.
Is a pick-up from my accommodation included?
A pick-up and drop-off service is included for accommodations located in the St. Paul's Bay area. Otherwise, the meeting point is at the dive centre at the Gillieru Harbour Hotel.
How many dives are included in the trip?
The trip includes two dives.
What is the maximum group size?
To ensure a personal experience, groups are kept small with a maximum of 4 to 5 divers per guide.
Which dive sites will we visit?
The exact dive sites are chosen on the day of the activity, depending on weather conditions and the experience level of the group. Possible sites include the Santa Maria Caves, the Imperial Eagle wreck, or the Qawra Reef.
Can I take a flight right after my dive?
For safety reasons, you must wait at least 24 hours between the end of your last dive and your next flight.
How long does the activity last in total?
The total duration of the activity is approximately 6 hours per day.
What does the programme for the day look like?
The day starts with a meeting at the base or a hotel pick-up. After a briefing and equipment check, you will head to the dive site by boat or bus for your first dive. After a surface break on land, you will proceed to the second dive, returning to the base at the end of the trip.
