The PADI Scuba Diver course is ideal for those who do not have much time available and want to take the first step towards becoming a certified diver already today. Our experienced and certified instructors will teach you all the basics of this sport and will supervise you individually so that you always feel safe underwater. During the 2 open water dives at the Berlengas Islands, you also have the opportunity to experience an incredible underwater landscape up close.
Goal of the courseThe PADI Scuba Diver certification is recognized worldwide and enables you to conduct dives of up to 12m in the company of a certified dive guide. You can upgrade at any time to a certified Open Water Diver, which allows you to dive up to 18m in the company of a dive buddy.
Meeting & PreparationWe meet at the booked time at our diving centre in Peniche, where free parking is available. There you will get your diving equipment from us. Your instructor will show you our dive centre and when everyone is ready we will start with the theoretical introduction before we go into the water.

- Day 2: Open Water Dive 1 and 2 at Berlenga Island
Included ActivitiesThe PADI Scuba Diver course consist of three phases:
- Knowledge development (3 theoretical modules carried out through eLearning platform).
- Confined water dives to learn basic scuba skills (3 modules in a pool, which will be grouped into
a single or double session according to the logistics).
- Open water dives to practice the skills and explore different dive sites (2 dives in the sea in
Berlengas Natural Reserve, Peniche carried out over one day).
