For this trial scuba diving lesson, we stay in the bay at Kalivaki beach, where we can benefit from highly beginner-friendly conditions: sandy shore, shallow waters, great visibility and an awe-inspiring view on the local underwater life - what more could you ask for?
Programme- Meeting & Preparation:
Depending on whether you'll use our hotel pick-up service or not, we'll either meet at your hotel between 8:10 and 8:45 am or at 8:10 am at our school's office in Rethymno. We'll then all be at our beach base at Kalivaki beach at 9 am If you arrive by car, parking is widely available nearby. Once there, your instructor will give you a short briefing on the basics of diving, the safety rules and the equipment used. After the briefing, you'll be ready for your diving adventure!
If you wish to use our pick-up service, simply let us know beforehand, and we'll gladly come pick you up from your hotel.
- Diving:
Together with your instructor, you'll start your shore dive from Kalivaki beach. During your 45-minute dive, you'll be able to dive up to 6 m deep and use the knowledge you'll have gained during the briefing: basic diving skills, underwater communication signals and understanding your equipment's purpose. After your first dive, you also have the option of doing another dive twice as deep as the first one! If you're confident enough and still have energy to spare, you can opt for a second 12 m shore dive.
- Return:
Once the activity is over, you'll get back to the base where you can quickly take a shower and change. If you've opted for our pick-up service, you'll be brought back to your hotel.
