Escape the city and come down to Carcavelos for some surfing lessons near Lisbon, a wonderful way to mix up your stay in the Portuguese capital. Our group surf lessons are held by highly qualified instructors certified by the Portuguese Surfing Federation and the Portuguese Tourist Board. As such, you will learn to surf or improve your technique, no matter what level you are at, and you can brag to your friends that you went surfing in one of Europe's top hotspots.
Meeting & Preparation
If you arrive by car, parking is widely available nearby. Pick-up service from Lisbon or Carcavelos is possible for an additional fee to be paid on site. Be sure to check in with us in the evening before your lesson to confirm the start time of your lesson. When surfing near Lisbon, we try to schedule our surf lessons in accordance with the tides and can therefore only give you an exact meeting time on short notice. On the day of your surf lesson, just come down to our base on the beach in Carcavelos or to Cresmina beach in Cascais (depending on which beach we agreed on the day before) where you will meet your instructor and receive your equipment for the day.

Is equipment included, and what do I need to bring?
Yes, a wetsuit and surfboard are included. You should bring swimwear, a towel, sun cream, a hat, and a snack.
Do I need to be a good swimmer, and what's the minimum age?
You need to be in good physical health to participate. The minimum age for the lessons is 8 years.
Why can the time of my lesson change, and how big is the group?
The start time of the lessons depends on the tides, so the exact time is confirmed on short notice the evening before the activity.
Where do the lessons take place?
The meeting point is at the provider's base on the beach in Carcavelos or at Cresmina beach in Cascais. The exact location is agreed upon the day before. Please note that until the end of September, the lessons only take place in Cascais (Cresmina Beach).
