In your kayak or in a group in your canoe, you will start this 9 km itinerary by La Roque Gageac, the most beautiful village in France. You will be able to admire different castles like or the feudal castle of Castelnaud-la-Chapelle along the route in the heart of nature. You can stop whenever you like, for a swim in the river, a walk in a village or a picnic by the water. From the age of 5, this canoe trip is suitable for families with children but also for history lovers.
Tour programme - Preparation: You are welcome by our team who will brief you on the safety instructions, the equipment and the descent. You leave directly from our base in La Roque-Gageac at the chosen time. - Tour: This 9 km descent will enchant you with its landscapes and points of interest along the Dordogne like the hanging gardens of Marqueyssac or Castelnaud-la-Chapelle to finally arrive in the village of Beynac and its imposing castle, once besieged by Richard the Lionheart, at the foot of which rest houses with flat stone roofs and luminous facades. The single descent takes about 2 hours. - Return: Once you arrive at the beach in Saint-Vincent-de-Cosse, our shuttle bus will be waiting for you at 12:30 pm, or every hour from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm (last departure), to take you back to our base in La Roque-Gageac.
