Get the most popular diving certification with our PADI Open Water Diver course at Mononaftis Bay. You will learn how to use the diving equipment, as well as the good practices to have underwater. The certification is divided into 2 parts: a theoretical part that you will do at home and a practical part that takes place at sea.
The practical part of our PADI Open Water Diver course consists of 9 supervised open water dives. Thanks to our ideal location in Mononaftis Bay, you will dive in a unique environment. In the crystal clear water you will have the opportunity to see beautiful rock formations and meet many marine animals such as octopus, moray eels and dozens of other species of fish. If you are lucky, you may also see a turtle that sometimes wanders close to our coast.
The PADI Open Water qualifies you to:
- Dive to a maximum depth of 18 meters/60 feet
- Plan and execute dives with a certified buddy
- Rent or buy diving equipment worldwide
Programme- eLearning:
We will send you the access details to the online study programme via email. You can complete the eLearning at your own pace, but it must be finished before the start date of your course. Then, you can move straight on to the practical part of your scuba diving experience.
- Kick-off:
We meet at the reserved time at our base behind the Nemo Bar in Mononaftis Bay. We can also arrange a transfer after your booking. There is a free parking spot available aswell. Afterwards, we will provide you with your equipment, and you can change in our changing rooms. You can also leave your personal belongings in the lockers we provide. We will then head to the beach and get into the water. Our instructor will guide you and show you several exercises to do underwater. After about 2.5 hours of exercises, we will return to the base, where you can hand in your equipment.
