Details
Peniche is one of the most famous surf spots in Europe, with the best conditions for enjoying beautiful waves, no matter if you are a beginner or an advanced surfer. Everyone from 4 years old can take a lesson, whatever their level. One instructor deals with a group of up to 5 people. After determining your abilities, you will be put in one of our three groups. Depending on your group level, the lessons will take place either in the white waters or further in the sea, near the unbroken waves.
Your instructor will set the objectives of the lessons with you, and explain the safety rules and the different techniques you will learn. They will provide you with the best advices to progress, and above all, to have a great time.
Meeting & Preparation
The course schedule varies depending on the season: in winter, they start at 10:00 am or 3:00 pm, while in summer, they are at 9:00 am, 11:00 am, or 3:30 pm. We meet at the Star Inn Peniche hotel (Avenida da Praia, Baleal, 2520-206 Peniche), 15 min before the beginning of the lesson to meet you, and get to know each other. You will be able to change on site and to choose your equipment. You can also put your belongings in safe lockers. We will then head to the shore and give you a short briefing before starting the session.

In case of powerful spring tides, the start time might change. In this specific case, you will be contacted 24 hours before your session.

Surfing beginners at our school are typically able to:
