SSI Open Water Diver Course in Arrábida for Beginners

The SSI Open Water Diver course in Arrábida National Park teaches you all the skills you need to become a certified diver. You don't need any previous diving experience on this entry-level course, making it perfect for any beginner who is passionate about diving! At the end of the three-day course, you'll receive your SSI Open Water Diver certification, allowing you to build on further diving courses and continue diving for life.

The Arrábida National Park is known worldwide for its biodiversity and is a popular diving destination among divers of all levels. While diving, you can discover over 1000 different species of flora and fauna, including numerous species of fish and corals. - Dive to a maximum depth of 18 meters/60 feet
- Plan and execute dives with a certified buddy
- Rent or buy diving equipment worldwide

Programme

- eLearning:
The theoretical part is learned independently via an online platform. To do this, you send us your contact details so that we can register you on the platform. After registration, we will send you your login details so that you can start the course. You can do the course via the MYSSI app or on the MYSSI website. You can decide when you want to study. The only thing you need to remember is to complete the e-learning before our three-day course.

- Kick-off:
On day 1 we meet at 7:30am at the Centro Português de Actividades Subaquáticas (CPAS). This is where we review what you have learned before doing two confined water dives. On day 2 we meet at the same time in the marina of Sesimbra. We start with one dive in confined water, followed by one in the open sea. At the end of the two dives, you take the written test. On day 3 we meet at the same place as day 2, where we do the last dive in open water, and you receive your certificates.
