Details
The Ionian coast of Santa Maria di Leuca offers some incredible rock formations, and you can discover them all on this boat trip to the Ionian caves! We will visit the most important natural cavities of this wonderful coastline, and snorkel into the magnificent Dragon's Cave and Lovers' Cave!
Departing from Santa Maria di Leuca we will head east and reach the exact point where the two seas meet. Our first stop will be at the Devil's Cave, where Neolithic artefacts have been found. We will then head to the Grotta del Fiume, which has a natural spring inside it, and to the three semicircular arches of the Grotta delle Tre Porte. We will also see the Grotta del Rifugio, which owes its name to the sailors who used to take shelter there during sea storms.
Our last stop will be at the Grotta del Drago, close to the Grotta degli Innamorati. You will dive into the sea and snorkel in both caves, accompanied by a guide. After this refreshing break, we will return to Santa Maria di Leuca.
