No trip to Venice is complete without a visit to some of its most famous islands. Our boat trip to Murano, Burano and Torcello will allow you to discover these little gems ensuring you a relaxing day while island-hopping.
We depart from our pier in Riva degli Schiavoni, 10 minutes on foot from San Marco, or from Calatrava Bridge. If you arrive in Venice by train, you can use our boat transfer service from the main station. Our first stop will be Murano, known worldwide for its colourful glass. The history of glassmaking dates back to 1291, when the glassmakers of Venice were ordered to relocate to Murano to avoid starting fires in the city. Today, Murano is one of the most prominent centres of glassmaking in the world, and during our 1-hour visit to this island, you will have the chance to enter a foundry and see a skilled craftsman at work.
We will then continue to Burano, a fishermen's village that became famous for its colourful little houses and for its ancient needle-lace making technique. On the boat, our guide will explain the history of Burano, and then you can explore it on your own during our 2-hour stop.
Finally, we will move to Torcello, the first centre of civilization in the area and once the most important and populated island in the Venetian Lagoon. We will stop here for 1 hour so that you can admire the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, which is the oldest building in the Venetian Lagoon, and its impressive Byzantine mosaics from the 11th and 12th centuries. At the end of the visit to Torcello, we will return to Venice.
Great longer stop off in Burnao, longer than the other trips I had found and definitely worthy of spending 2 hours. Would have stayed longer if we could. Your was prompt and well organised
Interesting, beautiful, organized well. Everything perfect!!!!!

Everything was well organized. The ship was easy to find and everything went smoothly. Each island is very different, giving a wide range for a day. However, everything is a big tourist industry, which I found inconvenient.
