Experience an afternoon you won't soon forget, thanks to our boat trip to Scandola with a sunset at the Sanguinaires. From Ajaccio or Porticcio, we will first head north to the Scandola Nature Reserve, which has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1975! There, we will first visit the island of Gargalo and have a breathtaking view of its Genoese tower, which overlooks the reserve. Thanks to the small size of our boat, we will be able to slip between the cracks of the Cathedral and the monk seals, true natural nuggets of western Corsica! The trip will continue with a 15-minute swim in the turquoise waters of the Anse de la Muretta.
We will then go to the small fishing village of Girolata, where you will have 20 minutes of free time to visit the wild cows that live in the village. Back on our boat, we will have a swimming break in the Ficaghjola cove and its beach which will take you straight to a postcard landscape. Afterwards, we will visit the Calanques of Piana and you will be able to admire the typical fauna and flora of the coast. If we are lucky, we may see Corsican ospreys flying overhead!
After passing Capo Rosso and taking a swim in its natural pool, we will reach the island of Mezzu Mare, where we will have 1 hour to discover the largest of the Sanguinaires islands. We advise you to either swim in the turquoise waters around the island or to walk to the highest point to have a panoramic view of the surrounding islands and visit the lighthouse. Afterwards, we return to our boat and head out to sea to watch the sun set over the Sanguinaires Islands. As the sky turns orange-pink, our crew will serve you a delicious aperitif of local specialities and Corsican rosé wine and you can also swim in the warm, crystal clear waters. At the end of the tour, we will return to the port of departure, where you can visit the towns of Ajaccio or Porticcio by night.
