This exclusive boat trip to the island of Nisyros with volcano tour must be on every to-do list! After leaving the port of Kardamena, we will be on the open sea for about an hour. During the crossing, you can observe several islands from a distance and admire the coast of Kos.
Once on the island, a bus will take you to the crater of the volcano, which you will reach after a 25-minute drive. Near the volcano is the beautiful village of Nikia, which you will be able to visit for 30 minutes only on Wednesdays and Sundays. With its typical Greek charm and colourful facades, it stands out from the dark surroundings caused by the volcano. There you can enjoy a delicious lunch in one of the many small Greek restaurants.
Afterwards, we enter the crater of the volcano, where you can feel the activity under your feet and see sulphur springs bubbling. We will be at the volcano for 45 minutes so that you can fully enjoy this natural spectacle. You will certainly be able to take one or two snapshots in this mystical environment. At the end of the volcano tour, the bus will take you back to the harbour, where our boat is already waiting for you.

Departure & Return
We meet at the port of Kardamena 15 minutes before departure. If you arrive by car, you will find a free car park near the port. At the end of our tour, we will return to Kardamena.

The online booking went smoothly. The boat trip with Demitrios was great. The boat stayed in the port of Mandraki on Nisyros. The stop in the village of Nikia, although quite short at 40 minutes, was very nice. Please do not walk to the crater from there. The bus stops there on the return journey. The visit to the crater is unfortunately a bit expensive at €5, but the frappe at Tavernedavir makes up for it. Overall, the booking was 50% cheaper, and you can easily manage on your own even with limited English skills. Overall, very worthwhile!

Tour was great! Very pleasant ferry crossing. We first visited a very pretty mountain village with Nikia with a magnificent view before going down into the crater. Finally, we had more than 2 hours in Mandraki, from where the ferry left again at 3.30pm to return to Kardamena. 10 minutes more in Nikia would have been even better. So it was a successful Sunday excursion.
