Together with our certified instructor, you will master this fascinating sport and make your first dives in open water. With this course, you will have a mix of theory and practice to make you an expert in scuba diving and feel completely safe and comfortable underwater. You can admire the abundant flora and fauna underwater on one of the beaches around Sagres. After these 4 days, you will be confident enough to dive to a maximum depth of 18 metres anywhere in the world, as the SSI certificate is recognized worldwide!
The SSI Open Water Diver course qualifies you to:
- Dive to a maximum depth of 18 metres/60 feet
- Plan and execute dives with a certified buddy
- Rent or buy diving equipment in dive centres worldwide
Programme- eLearning:
We will send you access to the online study programme, which you will have to complete before the course starts. It consists of 5 theoretical modules that you can finish at your own pace. On the first day of the course, all you need to do is show the confirmation you received from the eLearning platform to prove that you passed the theoretical part, and you can go straight to the practical part with your instructor.
- Kick-off:We meet directly at our base in Sagres at the agreed time, where you will fill out the necessary documents for the course. If you come by car, there is free car park available. After that, your instructor will give you a quick safety briefing and all the equipment you need. From there, you will go together to the pool where you will make five confined dives. Once you feel comfortable enough, our boat will take you to the open sea to perform four dives before getting your certificate.
