Among all the things our boat trip to Spinalonga and Agios Nikolaos has to offer, you’ll enjoy a guided tour on Spinalonga Island, a refreshing swim stop at Kolokytha Bay with lunch served on board, and a visit to the coastal town of Agios Nikolaos.
Before the cruise begins, we’ll pick you up from one of our designated meeting points in Heraklion, in a comfortable, air-conditioned bus. Once everyone is on board the boat, we’ll set off across the calm waters.
Our journey starts as we leave the port and cross the stunning Mirabello Bay. As we cruise, you’ll get a beautiful view of Agios Nikolaos from the water — a great moment for photos. Soon, we’ll reach Spinalonga, where you’ll spend about 1 hour and 20 minutes on the island, including a 45-minute guided tour to explore its fascinating fortress and history.
Back on board, we’ll continue cruising for about 15 minutes to reach the idyllic Kolokytha Bay. This is the perfect spot for a swim or a bit of sunbathing while lunch is freshly served on board. We’ll stay here for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Our final stop is in Agios Nikolaos, where you’ll have 1 hour and 30 minutes to explore the town at your own pace. A favourite among travellers, this charming coastal city is perfect for a relaxing stroll or a bit of shopping. Thé bus journey from Heraklion to Agios Nikalos took 3 hours. This was far too long!
On getting to Spinalonga there were long queues for tickets. Thé beach for swimming at lunchtime was really over crowded but overall the guide was kind and helpful and we enjoyed Spinalonga.
