Certified instructors guide you through the basics or help refine your technique, ensuring you get personalized feedback and guidance. Matosinhos Beach offers ideal conditions with consistent waves and gentle slopes, perfect for both beginners and experienced surfers alike.
Learn to ride waves like a pro with beginner surfing lessons from the First Surf School in Porto. Master the fundamentals of catching and riding waves, learn proper paddling techniques, and how to position yourself on the board. Celebrate your achievements with a moment to reflect on your progress.

Meet us 15 minutes in advance at our surfing school. The metro ride from the city center to Matosinhos takes approximately 30 minutes. Alternatively, you can easily access us by bus, just a 3-4 minute walk from the school, or by car where you will find both free and paid parking. Upon arrival, you will receive a warm welcome at our stand, at the beach before being outfitted with equipment tailored to your age and skill level. Then, your instructor will lead you to the beach for an exciting surfing session.
