Embark on an adventure from the charming village of Sainte-Énimie and explore the Gorges du Tarn on a canoe-kayak experience. This challenging 23-kilometer route is designed for the most seasoned adventurers, taking you through all the typical villages, then into the canyons of the Straits, as well as the Cirque des Baumes, offering breathtaking and wild landscapes. Admire iconic sites such as Saint-Chély-du-Tarn and La Malène, while navigating along impressive cliffs and majestic waterfalls.Tour programme- Preparation:
We meet directly at our base 15 minutes before the booked time. Free parking is available on site. Our team will greet you and provide you with the equipment as well as safety instructions to carry out the activity without risks. The departure is from our base at Sainte-Énimie directly.
- Tour:
Once aboard your canoe or kayak, start your adventure! Paddle at your own pace on this tranquil section of the Tarn to fully enjoy the scenery. Along the route, you will traverse the picturesque villages of Sainte-Énimie, Saint-Chély-du-Tarn, and La Malène, pass by the troglodyte hamlet of Pougnadoires, catch sight of the majestic Château de La Caze, stop in the peaceful hamlet of Hauterives, and discover the Canyon des Détroits, the Cirque des Baumes and its vultures.
- Return:
After about 6 hours and 30 minutes of paddling, you reach Les Baumes Basses. Our shuttle will be waiting to take you back to your vehicle.Tour facts
