Right from the start, just a stone's throw from the Corderie Royale, a fabulous journey back in time awaits you: as you cruise down the Charente, you will have the chance to discover some of the remarkable sites linked to its maritime history, such as the Arsenal, Fort Lupin and the Royal Fountain of Lupin. You will also pass under the impressive transporter bridge while admiring the typical landscapes of the region, between meadows and marshes.
Once we reach the mouth of the river, after passing off Île Madame, only accessible on foot at low tide, we will head for the emblematic Fort Boyard, which will reveal its secrets thanks to the commentary provided during the trip. After 1 hour 45 minutes of navigation, it's time to disembark on the small island of Aix, where you will stay for around 7 hours. Horse-drawn carriage or bicycle rides, a visit to Fort Liédot or the Napoleon Museum, not forgetting its beaches and restaurants: you will have plenty of activities to choose from to discover this haven of peace and quiet where no cars are allowed.
