At Lake Mývatn, marvel at the unique volcanic landforms created by a basaltic lava eruption 2,300 years ago, including impressive lava pillars and rootless vents. We then visit the hot spring area at Hverarönd in Námaskarð before making our way to the powerful Dettifoss waterfall, known as the most powerful waterfall in Europe, where you can witness the impressive rush of water cascading into the canyon.
