Our kids ski lessons in Kals am Großglockner are for all children from 4 to 14 years, regardless of skill level. Everyone is welcome! Nestled at the foot of Großglockner, the highest mountain in Austria, this resort offers a serene and picturesque environment perfect for learning. The resort features a variety of slopes, from beginner to advanced, with a total of 44 kilometres of skiable terrain and a direct gondola to the top of Gorner at 2702m.
The lessons start on the kids slope, equipped with a magic carpet for easy ascents. Here, children will learn the basics, such as balancing on skis and making gentle turns. These skills are crucial as they build the foundation for more advanced techniques. As they progress, the kids will move to slightly steeper slopes where they will practice parallel turns and stopping techniques, which are essential for control and safety on the slopes. Throughout the lessons, our experienced coaches provide personalised feedback and encouragement to ensure each child improves at their own pace.
A unique feature of our programme is the race at the end of the course, where kids can showcase their newly acquired skills. This friendly competition, complete with prizes, motivates children to practice and gives them a sense of accomplishment. For those who need it, we also offer lunch supervision, ensuring that the kids are well-fed and ready for their afternoon sessions. These ski lessons are ideal for children looking to learn or enhance their skiing abilities in a fun and supportive environment.
We meet at the skischool office next to the Kals 1 valley station, 15 minutes before the start of the lesson. Optionally, if you are resided at the Gradonna Mountain Resort, we can pick you up at 9:30 from the entrance.
Kids up to 5 years do not require a ski pass. For children ages 6 to 14 years, a ski pass needs to be purchased at the ticket office.
