Nestled in the stunning Pirin Mountains, Bansko is a renowned ski resort offering a variety of slopes for all skill levels. With over 70 kilometres of ski slopes, its diverse terrain provides the perfect playground for beginners and seasoned skiers alike. Our ski lessons cater to all levels, and each group consists of a maximum of 8 children, ensuring personalized attention. The lesson begins with an introduction to the basic skiing techniques, where kids learn how to balance on their skis and make their first cautious turns. This foundation is crucial for building confidence and ensuring safety on the slopes. As the lesson progresses, children are introduced to the more advanced skill of parallel skiing, enabling them to navigate steeper sections with greater ease and control.
The lesson takes place on the resort’s beginner-friendly slopes, gradually transitioning to more challenging runs as skills develop. Under the guidance of our experienced instructors, your child will learn to master various techniques, refine their style, and conquer steeper terrain. Our 9-year-old daughter took 4 hours of lessons per day for 4 days. The instructor, Mila, was excellent — friendly, smiling, and very kind. Our daughter enjoyed it a lot. We paid for group lessons, but in practice it was mostly a group of just two girls, almost like private lessons, which was absolutely great and definitely worth the money.
Highly recommended. Perfect for parents who want to ski and leave their child in good, caring hands with no worries.

What should I wear for my lessons?
You should wear warm clothing suitable for winter sports. Other accessories such as gloves, a ski mask and sunglasses are strongly recommended.
When should I collect my equipment?
You must arrive at the first lesson with your equipment (skis and poles or snowboard, and boots). If you do not have your own equipment, make sure to allow enough time to collect it from the rental shop so as not to delay the start of the lesson. Some shops even offer the option of collecting equipment the day before your first day of hire.
Do I need to wear a helmet?
Wearing a helmet is compulsory for children in some countries, but it is strongly recommended for everyone, regardless of age.
Where can I buy a ski pass?
Unless otherwise stated, you must have your ski pass with you for the first lesson. You can usually buy one at the ski lift office or online. Discounted rates may be available for children or beginners, so check with your ski school to find out which pass is most suitable.
