What to Expect

Join us for surfing lessons in Saint Leu. Discover the joy of surfing in a protected natural area with beginner-friendly lessons designed for anyone aged five and up. Led by qualified instructors, each session lasts 1.5 hours and begins with a brief safety briefing to familiarize participants with the environment, including potential hazards like coral reefs and rocks. With group sizes limited to 8 participants, our lessons ensure personalized attention and tailored guidance, making them perfect for first-time surfers. You can choose between 1, 4, or 8 sessions, allowing flexibility depending on your schedule and learning goals.

Held on the beautiful beaches of Saint Leu, known for their gentle, learner-friendly waves, these lessons focus on mastering the basics, including balance and paddling techniques. Our passionate instructors create a fun and welcoming atmosphere, helping you feel confident in the water. With each session, you will build on your skills, starting with paddling and balancing, and progressing to catching your first wave by the end of the course.

• Meeting place: at the surf spot, close to the bar Les Filaos

• Meeting time: 15 minutes before the start of the activity

• Car parks nearby: at the meeting place (free)

• Public transportation: the next bus stop is within a 2 minute walk

• During school holidays in La Réunion, surf lessons will start 30 minutes earlier

Good to Know

• For visitors coming from Saint-Denis or Saint-Pierre: avoid choosing the first slot, as you may already be on your way if it gets cancelled (more than an hour's journey)

• In case of bad weather conditions (swell, wind) or shark watches, the activity may be rescheduled or cancelled

• The meeting point may change at the last minute due to reinforced shark monitoring; the instructor will inform you one hour in advance
