What to Expect

Join us for a full-day hike starting from Låkta and leading up to Trollsjön. We provide pick-up services from multiple locations in both Abisko and Björkliden for your convenience. Our adventure begins with a scenic drive from Abisko to Låkta, where the magic of the hike unfolds. As you set foot on the trail through Kärkevagge, you are greeted by the breathtaking views of the valley that stretch towards Trollsjön, Sweden’s cleanest clear-water lake. Along the way, keep an eye out for reindeer, lemmings, and majestic birds like buzzards and sea eagles, making this a wildlife enthusiast's dream.

In approximately 10 kilometres of hiking, you will traverse the enchanting landscapes at the foot of Gearggecorru and Vassejietnja. The trail is adorned with typical mountain plants like glacier crowfoot and polar willow, adding vibrant hues to your journey. Upon reaching Trollsjön, nestled 815 metres above sea level, be mesmerised by the crystal-clear waters that offer visibility down to a remarkable 37 metres. It is a perfect spot to pause for a well-deserved break and enjoy a delightful lunch while soaking in the serenity of this alpine paradise.
