What to Expect

Introduce your little ones to skiing in Val d’Isère with our Petit Ours groups, designed especially for children aged 3 to 4 years old. These gentle introductory lessons take place in a quiet beginner zone where toddlers can explore the snow at their own rhythm. With groups limited to just 3 children, the instructor has plenty of time to guide and reassure each skier individually.

Sessions focus on simple games and playful movements that help children slide, find their balance, and gradually feel more confident on their skis. Through these fun activities, they begin to learn essential basics such as gliding independently, stopping gently, and managing their speed. Our patient instructors adapt their teaching to each child's personality and pace to keep the atmosphere relaxed and encouraging.

At the end of the week, every child is awarded the Petit Ours medal to celebrate their first progress on the snow. This small and supportive group format offers a comforting environment, giving young skiers the perfect start for their first skiing experience in Val d’Isère.

Meeting Time

We meet in front of the Bellevarde Express chairlift, 10 minutes before the start of the lesson.

Ski Pass

All skiers need a ski pass from the first day of the lessons. It is free for children under 8 upon presentation of ID at the lift ticket office.

Good to Know

• For the Christmas holidays & school holidays in February, we recommend you book early in advance due to high demand

• Please make sure your kid has skis, ski boots, helmet, gloves & sunglasses or goggles at the start of the lesson

• During our courses we are always wearing a helmet

• The maximum group size is 3 participants per group
