At the mountain station of the Schmittenhöhebahn (Schmitten 46, 5700 Schmitten)
In these ski lessons in Zell am See, kids between 5 and 14 years will learn together, in a safe environment and with a lot of fun, regardless of their level. Nestled in the beautiful Austrian Alps, the Zell am See ski resort offers a picturesque setting with modern facilities. The resort is renowned for its stunning lake views and a variety of slopes that cater to all skill levels. With a variety of gentle beginner slopes and challenging runs, it is the perfect place for both newcomers and more experienced young skiers.
Professional ski instructors teach in an age-appropriate way, motivating kids with fun exercises to create a genuine love for winter sports. The lessons are organised in small groups of up to 12 kids, ensuring personalised attention. Beginners will start by getting familiar with their skiing equipment and learning basic movements, which are vital for building confidence. As they progress, they will practice turning and stopping on gentle slopes, focusing on balance and control, key skills for safe skiing.
For the more advanced skiers, the lessons include refining techniques such as parallel skiing and mastering steeper slopes. With playful exercises and shared experiences, children will achieve quick learning success and a real enthusiasm for winter sports. This course is ideal for beginners as well as advanced children who wish to further develop their technique.
We meet at the Kids Zone at the mountain station of the Schmittenhöhebahn, 15 minutes before the start of the lesson.
Getting up to the top station can take some time, especially during high season, so please plan some time.
During the lunch break from 11:30 to 12:30, our instructors will be happy to take care of your kids. A delicious meal is also included.
All skiers need a ski pass from the first day of the lessons. You can buy your ski pass at the ski lift ticket office or online before the first lesson.

Very sweet and good instructor. My boy felt very comfortable with him.
I don’t even know how to describe this — everything was perfect. My kids (4 and 6) absolutely loved Sarah and Michael. I was a bit worried they wouldn’t make it through the 5 hours, especially the younger one, but we didn’t hear a single complaint until the very end. The kids were happy, became very confident on their skis, and had no fear anymore — especially the 4-year-old, for whom it was his very first time. Sarah and Michael were incredibly patient, calm, and kind — truly everything you could wish for when trusting someone with your children. Thank you!
