These snowboarding lessons in Zell am See are designed for kids between 6 and 14 years who want to learn together, in a safe environment and with a lot of fun, regardless of their level. Nestled in the beautiful Austrian Alps, the Zell am See ski resort offers a picturesque setting with modern facilities. The resort is renowned for its stunning lake views and a variety of slopes that cater to all skill levels. With a variety of gentle beginner slopes and challenging runs, it is the perfect place for both first timers and more experienced young snowboarders.
Professional instructors teach in an age-appropriate way, motivating kids with fun exercises to create a genuine love for winter sports. The lessons are organised in small groups of up to 12 kids, ensuring personalised attention. Beginners will start by getting familiar with their equipment and learning basic movements, which are vital for building confidence. As they progress, they will practice turning and stopping on gentle slopes, focusing on balance and control, key skills for safe snowboarding.
For the more advanced snowboarders, the lessons include refining techniques and mastering steeper slopes. Meeting Time
We meet at the Kids Zone at the mountain station of the Schmittenhöhebahn, 15 minutes before the start of the lesson.
Getting up to the top station can take some time, especially during high season, so please plan some time.
Lunch Care
During the lunch break from 13:00 to 14:00, our instructors will be happy to take care of your kids. A delicious meal is also included.
Ski Pass
All participants need a ski pass from the first day of the lessons. You can buy your ski pass at the ski lift ticket office or online before the first lesson.
Parents need a ski pass to take their kid to the meeting point. If they don't ski, an individual meeting place can be arranged, so they don't need to buy one.

What should I wear for my lessons?
You should wear warm clothing suitable for winter sports. Other accessories such as gloves, a ski mask and sunglasses are strongly recommended.
When should I collect my equipment?
You must arrive at the first lesson with your equipment (skis and poles or snowboard, and boots). If you do not have your own equipment, make sure to allow enough time to collect it from the rental shop so as not to delay the start of the lesson. Some shops even offer the option of collecting equipment the day before your first day of hire.
Do I need to wear a helmet?
Wearing a helmet is compulsory for children in some countries, but it is strongly recommended for everyone, regardless of age.
Where can I buy a ski pass?
Unless otherwise stated, you must have your ski pass with you for the first lesson. You can usually buy one at the ski lift office or online. Discounted rates may be available for children or beginners, so check with your ski school to find out which pass is most suitable.
