What to Expect

These private snowboarding lessons allow kids between 6 and 12 years to explore the slopes of Gerlos at their own pace with their personal instructor, regardless of their level. During the lesson, children can opt for one-on-one lessons or learn in small private groups of up to 4 participants. This setting allows them to learn alongside friends or family members of a similar level, promoting a fun and supportive environment.

The professional instructor will tailor the program to each child's specific needs, ensuring optimal progress. The focus is on fun, safety, and efficient progress, allowing children to gain confidence as they learn to navigate the slopes. Beginners will learn the basics of skiing and their first turns, while more advanced snowboarders will work on their technique to master steeper slopes. Each skill taught is designed to enhance their technique and enjoyment on the slopes, making sure that every child leaves with improved abilities and a smile on their face.

Meeting Time

We meet at our meeting point at the practice area close to the Arena Center at the mountain station of Isskogelbahn, 10 minutes before the start of the lesson. Please note that going up to the mountain station from the valley can take up to 15 minutes, or even longer during high-season.

Important! If you are a beginner or do not have much experience (only indoor experience), we ask you NOT to take the Dorfbahn because there is no practice area there. In this case, please take the ISSKOGELBAHN. You will get off the gondola and find yourself directly in the beginner area.

Ski Pass

First-timers do not need a ski pass for the first day of the lessons. The instructor will advise you when to buy the ski pass.

Advanced snowboarders need a ski pass for the lessons. You can buy your ski pass at the lift station before the first lesson.

Please be aware that you need a ski pass to take your kid to the meeting point.

Requirements

• Warm outdoor clothing; layers are recommended

• Snowboard equipment and helmet

Good to Know

• For the Christmas holidays & school holidays in February, we recommend you book early in advance due to high demand

• Please make sure your kid has a snowboard, snowboard boots, helmet, gloves & sunglasses or goggles at the start of the lesson

• The whole family can join the private lessons together, as long as everyone has a similar skill level

• The maximum group size is 4 participants per group
