You should wear warm clothing suitable for winter sports. Other accessories such as gloves, a ski mask and sunglasses are strongly recommended.
You must arrive at the first lesson with your equipment (skis and poles or snowboard, and boots). If you do not have your own equipment, make sure to allow enough time to collect it from the rental shop so as not to delay the start of the lesson. Some shops even offer the option of collecting equipment the day before your first day of hire.
Wearing a helmet is compulsory for children in some countries, but it is strongly recommended for everyone, regardless of age.
Unless otherwise stated, you must have your ski pass with you for the first lesson. You can usually buy one at the ski lift office or online. Discounted rates may be available for children or beginners, so check with your ski school to find out which pass is most suitable.
Generally, it is advisable to book lessons as early as possible. This is especially important during school holidays, such as Christmas and February, when lessons can fill up quickly.
These lessons are designed for advanced snowboarders between 8 and 14 years of age.
The meeting point on the first day is at the ski school at the valley station of the Zwieselalm gondola lift in Gosau Hintertal.
On the first day, you should be at the meeting point 30 minutes before the lesson starts.
The children are divided into groups according to their age and ability to ensure they make the most progress.
The aim of the course is to perfect your kids' skills and increase their confidence, also on more difficult runs.
