Become a certified diver with our beginner course "PADI Scuba Diver". With the certificate you'll receive at the end of this course, you will be allowed to dive up to 12 m, supervised by an instructor or guide. So get ready for an exceptional course and unforgettable dives. Goal of the course The "PADI Scuba Diver" certificate allows you to dive up to 12 m, supervised by a professional guide. You will learn all the techniques and know-how necessary to dive at such a depth as well as how to properly manage your equipment. In order to obtain the certificate, you'll have to carry out 4 supervised dives. Meeting & Preparation We will meet you at our base in Hyères at the agreed time. Our base is affiliated with a holiday resort and is very close to the beach. You can, therefore, enjoy the supermarkets, restaurants, showers, etc. of this resort. Once you arrive, you will be greeted by your instructor who will give you your equipment and explain the program for the next few days. In general, the course can be done in only 2 days, by doing 2 dives per day. Nevertheless, we recommend to do the course in 3 to 4 days. This way, you will have enough time to learn the theory. Please note that you need a medical certificate for this course. You can either do it on-site with us (35€) or with your doctor. Course content - Day 1: Theory Lessons + Practice/first Open Water Dive (We meet at 8:30 a.m. on the very first day of the course. Accessible from the age of 12, this course of 5 to 6 days will allow you to discover more about the world of scuba diving, and all this in the sublime scenery offered by the coast of Marseille. You will start with exercises at the bottom of the water: management of your breathing with the regulator, mask exercises, management of the stabilising jacket, and many other, which will allow you to reach 20 metres in complete safety. Our state-certified diving instructors will accompany you throughout the course to ensure that you are fully supported. The diving area will be chosen according to the weather conditions, but our favourite sites are in the Calanques National Park and especially around the Frioul archipelago. Thus, you will dive in turquoise blue water, and will be able to observe exceptional underwater fauna and flora, while perfecting your technique! The FFESSM Level 1 qualifies you to: - Dive to a maximum depth of 20 metres/65 feet - Dive with a scuba diving instructor by your sideProgramme - On-site theory lecture: The theoretical part of the training will take place on the dock or in the boat, before each dive. It will allow you to prepare for the next dive, but also to debrief on the dive that has just been done. - Kick-off: We meet 15 minutes before the booked time at our base in the old port of Marseille. "The team was extraordinarily nice! We came way too late because we got a little lost and didn't get the right exits in Marseille. I called them and didn't think we could make the trip, but they called back and assured us that they'd wait a few minutes more. Once there out of breath, the receptionists and instructors were super nice, calmed us down that we don't have to stress us anymore! The instructor always made sure to show my 10year old stepson everything during the trip. We felt ourselves in very good hands!
