I'd never been scuba diving before and was understandably nervous. But that feeling disappeared after just a few minutes. Katie and Basti did a fantastic job. They're both incredibly relaxed, always have a joke ready, and are very funny. Despite that, I never felt like they were taking anything lightly. Everything was explained clearly, and I felt safe and well taken care of the whole time. You can also immediately tell that the two of them get along really well. They tease each other, laugh, and joke around, which makes the whole atmosphere incredibly relaxed. It felt more like having a cool experience with friends than participating in some dry, theoretical course. The diving itself was simply amazing. At first, I had to concentrate quite a bit on the technique, but once you're down there and get used to it, it's an incredible feeling. Floating through the clear water, watching the fish, and experiencing the underwater world up close was truly something special. Time flew by far too quickly, and when we resurfaced, I immediately wanted to go back down. For me, this was definitely one of the highlights of my vacation, and it's even led me to seriously consider getting my scuba diving certification. To participate in this activity, all you need to have is an Open Water Diver certificate. During the dive, one of our professional dive guides will accompany you. Whether we visit a dive site by boat or drive to the chosen dive site by van, unforgettable impressions are guaranteed! Dive area Dive sites depend on weather conditions and are decided by the dive guides the day before the activity. The island of Krk is the perfect starting point as it leads to numerous dive spots. Here you can explore bays with colourful flora, a variety of fish species and harmless caves. Popular diving excursions for experienced divers include the wrecks Siebelfähren, Elhawi-Star or the Mafia wreck. Programme We meet at our dive centre at 9:30. If you arrive by car, you will find a paid car park near the centre. Your guide will be waiting for you on site and will give you more detailed information about the planning of the dive. If you don't have your own equipment with you, you can hire all the equipment you need on site for a small extra charge. Afterwards, you will already be on your way to the chosen dive site. If you choose to dive from the beach, you will take a van from the base to your dive spot on the beach. If you choose to dive from the boat, you will drive together with the guide to the harbour, where the boat is already waiting for you. With the boat, you will then navigate between 15 and 25 minutes to the selected dive site. You will be a maximum of 3 divers per guide. "A super friendly dive guide who gave me and my two boys (11 and 12) excellent instructions and, above all, exuded a great sense of security. Everything else was perfectly organized.
Unfortunately, the weather wasn't quite what we had hoped for, but of course, the dive center can't be blamed for that! 😉
In any case, we're currently discussing whether we should book a second dive. We can wholeheartedly recommend Shark Diving Center.
