No, the ability to swim is a prerequisite for participating in this course.
To participate, you must be at least 12 years old, be physically healthy, and have good swimming skills. You also need a (Junior) Open Water Diver certificate, have completed the Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive, and have a First Aid certification from the last 2 years.
The course combines theory lessons (using a book, DVD, and instructor presentations) with practical rescue exercises in the water. It concludes with two final rescue scenarios.
The price includes the certified SSI diving instructor, the rescue manual, a scuba tank for all dives, and the SSI registration fee and certificate.
You will meet at the diving centre in Vrsar at the agreed time. Free parking is available at the centre or at the nearby campsite car park.
